Republic Day ‘Grand Amrit Mahotsav’​

A day when the Indian Constitution came into effect after India gained independence that too by long time struggle, and a day to praise the history. Republic Day is celebrated on January 26 every year with a sense of patriotism and festivity. Republic Day of 2022 is been falling under the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, the celebrations are marked with a zeal to make everyone dwell in the country’s pride. Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav – An initiative undertaken by the Government of India to celebrate the glorious and progressive 75 years of our nation, a motive to let all know the historical journey of people, culture, and achievements.

  • It is not just about the celebration of the evolutionary journey but also aims with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of India 2.0, graced in the spirit of Atmanirbhar Bharat.

  • Being officially commenced on 12 March 2021, a 75-week countdown to our 75th anniversary of independence will end on 15 August 2023.

Grandest Fly-past Ever – As a signature towards Amrit Mahotsav, the grandest fly-past ever with 75 Aircraft will take place over Rajpath in Delhi i.e., a Grand Republic Day. The 75 Aircraft will include five Rafale and the planes from the Navy, IAF, and Army. A total of 17 Jaguar fighter aircraft will fly in the form of 75 signifying Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav.

Not only this, the song ‘Aye Mere Watan Ke Logon’ has been chosen to be played in the Beating Retreat Ceremony. The hymn ‘Abide With Me’ has been dropped due to the reason of lyrics being understood by a limited few. While Aye Mere Watan Ke Logon depicts a special place in the hearts of our nation and will be assured a strong patriotic soul.

Keeping in view the situation of Covid-19, approximately 24,000 people are allowed to attend the Republic Day Parade. The protocols being in heads to be obeyed, India is ready to mark the 73rd Republic Day fueled in the tricolors embarking the respect for the nation.
